When visiting Korea, you must try a Jjimjilbang to experience those classic K-drama scenes! There are quite a few options for a Busan Jjimjilbang, and I recently visited Hill Spa as it was added to the Visit Busan Pass.
Compared to the more famous Club D Oasis or Spa Land, this Busan hill spa is slightly less accessible by public transport, meaning it’s far less crowded. This creates a much more comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. If you’re interested, check out my full review below!

Hill Spa Busan Overview

Busan Hill Spa (힐스파) is located on the scenic Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae. It is a premium Jjimjilbang and hot spring facility overlooking the ocean. After renovating and reopening in 2023 (formerly known as Vesta Spa), this Busan hill spa now operates 24 hours a day, making it the perfect first stop if you arrive on a red-eye flight.
Beyond the various themed saunas and hot springs, what sets this Busan hill spa apart is its outdoor foot bath, offering a panoramic view of Haeundae Beach and the Gwangan Bridge in the distance. Additionally, there is a sea-view gym on the first floor, and the facility offers “Gym + Spa” combo tickets for those interested.
How to Get to Hill Spa
Hill Spa is located at 17-7 Dalmaji-gil 117beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan (Naver Map | Google Maps). We walked over from Mipo Station of the Haeundae Blueline Park. Although the map shows an 8-minute walk, it is mostly uphill. If you are traveling with elderly family members or children, I highly recommend taking an Uber or a taxi directly to the entrance.
Hill Spa Admission & Tickets
If you have the Visit Busan Pass, no reservation is needed. You can enter at any time for a free 4-hour stay. An overtime fee of approximately 2,000 KRW (approx. $1.45 USD) per hour applies. Note that the pass does not include access to the first-floor gym; a separate combo ticket is required for that. For more details, check the Visit Busan Pass official website.
If you don’t have a pass and simply want to experience this Busan hill spa, here is the standard pricing:
- Sauna + Jjimjilbang: Adults approx. 18,000 KRW (approx. $13 USD), Elementary Students approx. 14,000 KRW (approx. $10 USD), Children approx. 10,000 KRW (approx. $7.25 USD)
- Sauna Only: Adults approx. 10,000 KRW (approx. $7.25 USD), Children 8,000 KRW (approx. $5.80 USD).
- Overnight Stay (Over 12 hours): An additional fee applies; the adult overnight rate is 19,000 KRW (approx. $13.75 USD).
I recommend booking your tickets in advance through KKday or Klook to avoid language barriers or long ticket lines!

Inside the Busan Hill Spa Experience

The process at this Busan hill spa is similar to others in Korea. After purchasing your ticket on the 1st floor, you’ll receive a slip with your shoe locker number, your Jjimjilbang clothes, and towels. Head to the lockers to change your shoes. The key in the locker serves as your digital wallet for all in-house purchases—keep it on your wrist at all times!
Hill Spa consists of five floors: the 2nd and 4th floors are the gender-separated locker rooms and hot springs, the 3rd floor is the main Jjimjilbang area, and the 5th floor features a lounge area with bean bags and the outdoor foot bath.

My routine was: change on the 2nd floor → head to the 3rd floor for saunas. While there aren’t dozens of rooms, they have all the essentials: a Yellow Earth room, an Ice room, and a Kiln room. After sweating it out, you can relax in the lounge area.
The large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a stunning view of Haeundae and Gwangan Bridge. It’s incredibly cozy with the provided mats and pillows. Best of all, there’s a CU convenience store right on the 3rd floor, making it easy to grab ramen or drinks (though I recommend saving the alcohol until after your sauna session).

The facility also has massage chairs and semi-private sleeping capsules with charging ports. Moving up to the 5th floor, the outdoor foot bath is the highlight. Soaking your feet while looking down at the ocean is pure healing! You can buy foot bath salts at the 3rd-floor CU. While there is a suggested 30-minute limit, the staff is quite relaxed when it’s not busy.

Finally, I headed back to the 2nd floor for the hot springs and a shower. The bathing area also features incredible ocean views—I honestly didn’t want to leave. Pro-tip: the essential Jjimjilbang combo of smoked eggs and Sikhye (sweet rice drink) is sold at the snack bar inside the locker room area. It took me a while to find it!

Overall, this Busan hill spa is a destination worth visiting. Beyond the relaxation, the unbeatable ocean views provide amazing value for the price. Because it is less crowded than other famous spas, it truly feels like a place where you can clear your mind and unwind.
