When it comes to Singapore accommodation, Marina Bay Sands Singapore is world-renowned. Its iconic infinity pool is a sight you’ve likely encountered in major news outlets or across social media, even if you haven’t visited in person.
With an average nightly rate of over US$600, I decided to splurge on a stay during my recent trip to Singapore for a once-in-a-lifetime experience—and of course, to share my review with all of you!

Getting to Marina Bay Sands Singapore
Marina Bay Sands Singapore is located right at the Bayfront MRT station. You will see clear signage for the hotel as soon as you exit the station; following these will lead you to the check-in lobby within 10 minutes. Because the hotel is adjacent to the bustling Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and the casino, it can be a bit overwhelming at first, but just keep an eye out for the “Hotel” signs and you won’t get lost.
Booking & Pricing
There are many ways to book a room. Besides the official website, I used Agoda.com this time. I made sure to verify that the third-party price was consistent with the official site and emailed the hotel to confirm my reservation details beforehand. If you book through a third-party platform, I recommend confirming the price against the official site (sometimes the official site is cheaper) and always calling or emailing the hotel to ensure they have your record.
Room types vary by floor, view, and size, but generally, the price after tax is around US$600 per night.

Room Types at Marina Bay Sands Singapore
There is a wide variety of room types at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Beyond the differences in square footage and amenities, the most important factor is the view:
- Garden View (10th to 39th floor, facing Gardens by the Bay)
- Harbour View (40th floor and above, facing the sea)
- City View (19th to 39th floor, facing the Central Business District)
- Skyline View (40th floor and above, facing the Central Business District)
Generally, City View rooms are more expensive than Harbour View rooms, and high-floor rooms cost more than low-floor ones. We stayed in a high-floor Garden View room, which allowed us to watch the light show directly. However, to be honest, we couldn’t hear the music, and the visual impact from a distance isn’t as immersive as seeing it at ground level.
Consequently, I don’t feel there is a “mandatory” view to book, as all guests at Marina Bay Sands Singapore can visit the infinity pool or the observation deck to enjoy every angle. You should choose based on your budget.
Checking In
Standard check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. We arrived around 10:00 AM just planning to drop off our luggage, but the counter surprised us by letting us check in immediately! I recommend arriving early to check; even if the room isn’t ready, you can always store your bags. With the Shoppes and Gardens by the Bay nearby, it’s very easy to pass the time.
Hotel Facilities
If you’ve spent the money for a night here, I suggest spending the entire day without leaving the area. Between the diverse hotel facilities and the adjacent Gardens by the Bay and shopping mall, there is more than enough to explore for a full day.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
This shopping mall is right next to the hotel and features almost every international brand, local label, and restaurant you could imagine. There is even a canal inside where you can take a Sampan ride, giving it a very exotic atmosphere. If you’re looking for familiar tastes, you can try Din Tai Fung, the world-famous local TWG Tea for afternoon tea, a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, or Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen. For those on a tighter budget, the food court is also worth checking out. Truly, anyone can find a dining option that suits them here.

Marina Bay Sands Casino
There is also a casino here—Marina Bay Sands Casino. I didn’t personally go in, so I can’t give a detailed review, but for those who enjoy a bit of gaming, this is certainly an option available to you.
Infinity Pool
This is likely the reason 99% of people choose to stay at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. While I’ve seen the infinity pool on social media a thousand times, seeing it in person was still breathtaking. The pool is open exclusively to guests with room cards (if there are two guests in a room, both must carry their own cards to enter; security is very strict), so while there are other people, it never feels overly crowded.
From here, you can see the entire Singapore skyline unobstructed. There is a menu available for ordering light snacks and alcoholic or soft drinks. Sometimes, staff even hand out free orange juice or ice cream. The whole experience is incredibly relaxing.
Opening Hours: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Gym
Even if you aren’t a fan of working out, I recommend checking out the gym. Besides the comprehensive facilities (they even have punching bags), the massive floor-to-ceiling windows face the city skyline. Running here doesn’t require a screen for entertainment; the view is the best motivation. Just a warning: the scales here are quite high-tech and might announce your weight out loud—don’t try it if you’re shy! 😅
Opening Hours: 24 Hours

Banyan Tree Spa
The spa facilities at Marina Bay Sands Singapore are slightly less impressive compared to the other amenities. It primarily consists of hot pools, steam rooms, and saunas. While the overall service and quality are great, the space is smaller and the hot pool lacks a view. However, since it’s located right next to the gym, it’s still a highly recommended spot for a relaxing soak after a workout. Note that swimsuits are required for the hot pool, but not for the steam room or sauna. Other massage services require advanced booking and additional fees.
Opening Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Room Unboxing
For this stay, I chose a “Garden View” room on the 36th floor facing Gardens by the Bay. Both the bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. While the decor is luxurious, you can tell the design follows a more classic, old-school style. The room itself is comfortable and clean, though there aren’t many unique highlights—after all, the infinity pool is the real reason most people stay here. There is a small balcony where you can overlook Gardens by the Bay and watch the Supertree Grove light show at night, which is quite lovely.

Guest Perks
Staying at Marina Bay Sands Singapore not only gives you access to the hotel facilities but also free entry to the SkyPark Observation Deck. You can visit anytime during opening hours without limits, which saves you from long queues and the ticket price of nearly NT$500 (approx. US$15). From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Singapore. Additionally, guests receive discounts at select restaurants within the hotel; just remember to mention you are a guest when dining!

My final impression of the stay was very positive. Although it cost nearly US$615, the friendly service, thoughtful details, and breathtaking infinity pool did not disappoint. Staying within the complex for a full day was not boring at all, especially with the shopping mall and Gardens by the Bay right next door. I highly recommend everyone experience it at least once in their life!
