Accommodation in Osaka
Usually, I book travel accommodation through Booking.com or Agoda.com. however, since I was staying for a full month as a digital nomad in Osaka, booking night-by-night wasn’t cost-effective. I inquired in Facebook groups and eventually connected with a guesthouse owner. Although the property is listed on Booking.com, they offered a significant discount for a monthly stay, bringing the price down to JPY 90,000 (approx. $580 USD). The unit was a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and a washing machine, located just five minutes from the subway. I highly recommend it!

As mentioned above, the digital nomad Osaka experience has many advantages, especially the cost of living, which is much more affordable than in Tokyo or Kyoto. Transportation in Osaka
Public transport in Osaka is extremely convenient and can take you to almost any attraction. While the different JR and private railway lines might seem complex, an ICOCA card makes it simple. ICOCA is similar to Tokyo’s SUICA. Beyond transit, it can be used at convenience stores and chain restaurants. If you are an iPhone user, you can simply add the card to your Apple Wallet, tap your phone at gates, and top up via Apple Pay.
